COCKTAILS OF THE WEEK

Macabre by name, don’t let the blood orange deceive you. Disguised as an ordinary variety orange on the outside, some blush to hint the secret they possess. Its smaller size and its tougher pitted skin foretell its preternatural mystery. The inside flesh confesses what the outside masks, a spectrum of ruddiness; flushed with hues of brilliant dark pinks to crimson blood red. This citrus incarnates a divine sweetness transcendent the conventional orange. The blood orange seduces with a berry ambrosia ideal for mixing with your favorite Gray Wolf® Spirits.

*Rosemary simple syrup:
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
1/4 cup rosemary leaves

Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let syrup steep, about 30 minutes. Let cool and strain to remove rosemary leaves.
